Hi everyone
I’m finding it hard to believe that we’re already half way through March; nature has been quietly busy and signs of Spring are everywhere – loads of daffodils, celandines, primroses and violets, and I’ve even spotted a few wood anemones and milkmaids, magnolia trees in full bloom too. Its all happening out there!
I’ve also been pretty busy behind the scenes photographing my work and writing descriptions for a new on-line stockist http://residentartisan.com I was also interviewed by them and under their Meet the Makers section you will find the story behind Sage Ceramics, which I hope you will find interesting. Below are a few of my products currently stock via Resident Artisan, you can order through their website and it will come straight through to me to process.
The end of February saw the April edition of House & Garden magazine published and I’m pleased to say again that I have a small ad on page 236 under the showcase “Licence to Kiln” It has been fun learning to use props in my photos – they give a sense of perspective and an indication of the size of the pottery, and a hint as to what the piece of pottery could be used for. These are a set of pouring bowls, perfect for whisking up eggs for an omelette or making a salad dressing.
So now to events. My next event is one I attended last year – Paper Daisy Events Easter Makers Fair (http://campsite.to/paperdaisyevents ) with really lovely artisan products and great support from the organisers, its a pleasure to be going back again. It is being held on Saturday 30th March in The Shoreham Centre, 10am to 3.30pm. – definitely well worth a visit. There are other things in the pipeline which I’ll give more details of in my next blog, and I will also be bringing exciting news regarding a collaboration between ceramics and wood so watch this space.
